"6 DEGRÉS BÂBORD" is a project developed for my Bachelor's degree final exam at HEAD – Geneva.
For all sailing enthusiasts, there is a timeless moment of serenity, where the only concerns are the horizon and the calmness of the sea. "6 DEGRÉS BÂBORD" was born from this feeling and a reflection on time, matured over the course of a sailing journey.
Moments spent on a boat are often moments of reconnection – with friends, with oneself – where time becomes secondary, yet leaves an indelible mark. It’s rare, in fact, for sailors at the helm to check their watch with every change of course. That’s why the timepieces in this collection offer a different interpretation of time: some display only the hours and half-hours, while others focus solely on the date and the day.
Centred around these two unique ways of reading time, the collection is defined by refined curves, sculpted profiles, and materials borrowed from outside the watchmaking world, directly inspired by the nautical universe. The various shades of white chosen for these pieces evoke a sense of fluidity — a moment free from all constraints.
